The Arts Tower, Sheffield
The Arts Tower, Sheffield

The Arts Tower is one of Sheffield's most iconic buildings and can be seen from most areas of the city. Part of the University complex it's a building which has dominated my memory of Sheffield. From time spent studying nearby or within the building itself, to time spent sitting in traffic peering up at it from afar. Winning image in the 2014 Landscape Photographer of the Year competition - Urban View Category

This photo seems to have a vintage feel to me. The photo itself doesn't generate that feeling, the principle of having fun in the park and in the snow may well be timeless.

Sometimes you have to follow the tracks. The great benefits of a powerful point and shoot, taken whilst driving my car to work. One of those scenes the eye is drawn to and you would be frustrated to miss. Inverted in some ways in that the eye should be drawn tot he darker part of the image. The Longest Edge
The Longest Edge

I visit Stanage Edge quite often but have always struggled to get images which convey the length of this millstone grit edge as it snakes it's way above Hathersage. This is my best attempt yet and was a quick capture as I saw the clouds casting long moving contrasts across the moorland adding depth to the image.

A blanket of snow covers Fox Hagg nature reserve in Sheffield but on tree still clinging to it's orange leaves seems to have shaken off most of the falling snow. I noticed when processing this image if you look closely at the leaves of the tree in the centre you can the snow cascade down a little.

A photo taken from a vantage point of somebody's driveway. YEs somebody in Sheffield lives in a house with this spectacular view everyday. Given it's posisition it will see the sunrise nearly all year round the view stretches for miles towards the city and Peak District. If anyone would like to purchase this house for me to live in I could repay you with thousands of photos as no doubt evey morning paints a different view.
